Human beings are very adaptive and resilient. However, there are times when we may need a little extra support and guidance to meet the obstacles that come our way. When we do need help, working with a mental health practitioner can be very beneficial. Indeed, for many individuals, counselling often results in the acquisition of new problem solving skills, personal insights, and increased self-awareness. What’s more, the work that we do (yes, it does take work) throughout the counselling process can alter some of the maladaptive behaviors that aren’t working for us.

Robert Phillips is a person-centered counsellor who works primarily with adults. He has experience helping people who are struggling with anxiety, stress, depression, trauma/PTSD, developmental trauma (adult survivors), grief, transitions, and relationships issues.

Robert incorporates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Inner Child Therapy, and other modalities.
